In the filtration of melts of plastic materials, superfine filtration lakes up a relatively new part because in the melt filtration techniques used up to now, it has been very difficult to utilize filters with extremely fine openings. A new technology eliminates these problems and with two conceptual solutions if makes melt filtration with filters having openings as fine as 4 mu m possible.
