Flow behavior of glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics
Knowledge of the flow behavior of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics is of crucial importance for component designers. In the manufacture of thin-walled, ribbed components based on glass-mat-reinforced, thermoplastic semi-finished products (GMT) and long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (LFT), it was found that LFT had significantly better fiber flow properties in thin ribs than GMT.
