A metal strip has twelve microhousings per cycle injected on to it by the outsert technique using an externally-heated, all-hot-runner mould, with six open double nozzles, on a vertical injection moulding machine. The hot runner block, which has not undergone rheological balancing; ensures gentle treatment of the sensitive polyphthalamide, with a calculated residence time of only 30 seconds.
