Lead stabilizers will continue to play a major role in PVC applications in future but their market share will be reduced. In important application sectors, progress is being made in the replacement of lead stabilizers by Ca/Zn stabilizers. An improved price/performance ratio is the driving force behind the increasing use of these alternative systems.
