Synthesis and Properties of 2 Regular Thienylpyrrole Polymers
Two examples of polymers containing both thiophene and pyrrole units have been synthesized via a one-pot organometallic Stille reaction. The physical, thermal, and electronic properties of these polymers have been investigated : They have band gaps at about 2.4 eV and conductivities as high as 1.28 x 10(-1) S/cm (iodine-doped) and 2.30 x 10(-3) S/cm (undoped).
