Synthesis and Crystal-Structure of Barium Copper Fluochalcogenides - (Bacufq (Q=s,Se))
Two new copper fluochalcogenides BaCuFQ (Q=S,Se) have been synthesized. They crystallize in a tetragonal crystal structure with space group P4/nmm and lattice parameters a=4.1230(1) angstrom, c=9.0327(2) angstrom for BaCuFS and a=4.2391(1) angstrom, c=9.1217(2) angstrom for BaCuFSe. The structure can be viewed as the intergrowth of a fluorite type layer [Ba2F2] and an anti-fluorite type layer [Cu2Q2].
