Electrical-Properties of Cu2P3I2
Conductivity data on single crystal and cold-pressed polycrystalline samples of Cu2P3I2 demonstrate that Cu+ ion migration dominates the electrical conductivity over the temperature range 25-300 degrees C in argon. Both sets of samples exhibit fully reversible Arrhenius-type conductivity behavior with activation energy values of similar to 0.45eV and typical conductivity values of ca. 1.90 x 10(-3) S.cm(-1) at 186 degrees C. The conductivity appears to be one-dimensional.
