Hydrothermal Syntheses and Characterization of 2 Layered Molybdenum Selenites, Rb-2(MoO3)(3)Seo3 and Ti2(MoO3)(3)Seo3

The hydrothermal syntheses of Rb-2(MoO3)(3)SeO3 and Tl-2(MoO3)(3)SeO3 are described. These compounds have structures built up from hexagonal-WO3-type sheets and are isostructural with the previously reported Cs-2(MoO3)(3)SeO3 and (NH4)(2)(MoO3)(3)SeO3. Powder X-ray, thermogravimetric, and spectroscopic data are presented and discussed.
