Properties of the solid solutions Bi2Cu(Ni)O-4 +/-delta
Formation of solid solutions in the Bi2Cu1-xNixO4 bride system has been ascertained at 0 less than or equal to x < 0.2. Oxygen content, electrical conductivity, and thermal expansion of the ceramic materials have been found to increase with increasing nickel concentration. Oxygen nonstoichiometry of the solid solutions has been found to be independent of temperature at 300-400 K in air and to lie in the range from -0.04 to +0.04. The ceramics studied are predominantly electronic conductors.
