Reviewed is a possibility of using air as working agent for oil displacement from pipe-line when utilization of water under winter conditions or in arid areas is unacceptable. Conducted are calculations of possible concentration limits of inflammability of gas-air phase, which forms inside pipe-line after oil displacement, and actual hydrocarbons＇ concentartions within it after passage of gelled dividing piston.
