Reviewed are global trends for reserves increase, oil production and expences, associated with these processes. The importance of oil recovery enhancement methods development is noted, and results of their implementation in Tatarstan Republic during last years are given. The most effective oil recovery enhancement technologies are determined and the prospects for their application at Romashkinskoye oil field are presented.
