Three phases of enhanced oil recovery and bed stimulation operations are discussed in the paper. These phases include: prior to water encroachment; after 40 - 50% encroachment extent; and high water encroachment. Technical and economic performance data are documented for oil recovery improvement operations conducted by OAO Surgutneftegaz.
