A formalized set up of the problem of required number of measuring devices estimation and their optimal placement on the surface is given. Optimization criteria are discussed and unified softwear package is presented for calculating minimal required amount and distribution coordinates of measuring devices for the systems of industrial ecological monitoring of atmosphere at the sites of oil and gas-chemical complexes.
