The efficiency of oil shale retorting process can be raised up and, correspondingly, the production costs of oil lowered by utilization of by-prducts - semi-coke and gas - as a fuel for, steam and power generation. Different possible flow sheets for the RAS ＇＇Kiviter＇＇ are discussed.
