SOLUBILITY OF FERROCENYLDIMETHYLCARBINOL AND FERROCENE IN GASOLINES OF DIFFERENT GRADES AND IN THEIR COMPONENTS
A study has been made of the solubility of ferrocene and ferrocenyldimethylcarbinol in paraffinic, aromatic, olefinic and naphthenic hydrocarbons. The solubility of ferrocene in saturated hydrocarbons depends little on the nature of the solvents, while the solubility of ferrocenyl-dimethylcarbinol increases from hexane to octane, Considerably higher solubility of the ferrocenes studied is observed in aromatic and in olefinic solvents. The thermodynamic parameters of the dissolution of ferrocenes in organic solvents contained in various grades of gasoline have been assessed. The solubility of ferrocene and fenocenyldimethylcarbinol in gasolines of different grades at various temperatures has been studied.
