Energy Characteristics of the Process of Air Scrubbing from Hydrocarbon Contaminants in a Barrier-Discharge Reactor
The electrical and chemical characteristics of air scrubbing, using a barrier discharge, from impurities of xylene, a typical organic contaminant, have been investigated. Based on the interrelation between the electrical and chemical characteristics, an approach to the optimization of the cleaning process has been proposed that allows a severalfold reduction of the energy input.
