The demand for plastics additives in the United States is projected to reach 14 billion Ibs, valued at $8 billion, by the year 2000. in 1985, demand was at 7.7 billion Ibs, and in 1995, the total was 11.7 billion, Fillers, as always, will represent the largest use of plastics additives, accounting for more than half the total: approximately 8 billion Ibs in 2000, up from 4.3 billion in 1985 and 6.8 billion in 1995.
