Synthesis and Ag+-Binding Property of Polyphenylacetylene with Aza-Crown Cavity by Cyclopolymerization of 2,6-bis(7’-(4"-Ethynylphenoxy)2’,5’-Dioxaheptyl)Pyridine
The cyclopolymerization of 2,6-bis[7’-(4"-ethynylphenoxy)-2’,5’-dioxaheptyl]pyridine was carried out using a rhodium complex catalyst to yield the polyphenylacetylene with an aza-crown ether cavity. The obtained polymer showed binding ability for metal cations, which was particularly high for Ag+.
