Dynamical mechanical spectrometry experiments were performed on undoped polyaniline films to provide some information on the microstructure by the analysis of the molecular motions, A mechanical relaxation located at around 200 degrees C has been related to the polyaniline glass transition. At higher temperature, evidence is given for a thermal degradation which is attributed to crosslinking reactions as confirmed by thermogravimetry and FT-IR experiments.
