Electrical power in developing countries
Developing countries have per capita electricity consumption of less than 1500 kWH per annum. The demand of these countries, which is presently only 28% of global demand, will equal half the world demand by the middle of the next century. Therefore it is the performance of developing countries that will affect the expansion of the electricity supply worldwide.
