Synthesis and emulsifying properties of polyoxyethylene derivatives of (1-phenylethyl)-phenols.
There were obtained polydispersive polyoxyethylene derivatives of enriched fractions (80 divided by 90%) of alpha-methyl benzyl phenols and their emulsifying properties were evaluated. Synthesized oxyethylene derivatives of di- and tristyrenated phenols reveal as single surfactants - in the contrary to derivatives of monostyrenated phenols - good emulsifying properties. It has been stated the synergetic emulsifying effect of some of tested products and calcium alkylbenzene sulfonate.
