Polymers, poly(oxyethylene)s, bearing chloro- and azido telechelic groups were prepared and characterized by NMR, IR, UV and elemental analysis. Using the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction, Delta 2-triazoline-norbornane telechelics were obtained. Also, using the azido telechelics as precursors, reaction with norbordiene leads to longer polymers which were characterized by spectroscopic and viscosimetric methods.
