Natural ventilation
Buildings should be designed with controllable natural ventilation. A very high range of natural ventilation rates is necessary so that the heat transfer rate between inside and outside can be selected to suit conditions. Ventilation rates are selected to control temperature, pollution, and air movement. Ventilation with heat reclaim and the thermal capacity of the building have to be considered. Buildings need to be designed with natural ventilation in mind to minimise the use of fossil fuel energy.
