The ＇＇convective＇＇ Aat plate collector is a particular two-way collector system with air in gravity flow as primary working fluid. Its thermal characteristics are described. Results of outdoor tests and thermal simulations are shown. Different applications of the system are presented: water heating, steam generation for medical sterilization, solar cooking and space heating.
