Evaluation of parameters for anodic polarisation curve from the experimentally measured U-I dependence for an electrochemical photovoltaic regenerative solar cell
The cell voltage for an electrochemical photovoltaic regenerative solar cell with current leads located on opposite sides of a cell unit was measured for different values of the light intensity, 77-1360 W m(-2). The measured cell voltage was corrected for the voltage losses in the conductive glass and in the electrolyte. An empirical relation for anodic polarisation curve with three parameters, namely the limiting current density, the formal exchange current density and open-circuit potential vs. light intensity was formulated. The evaluation of these parameters is based on the chemical engineering description of a model cell. This description enables the transfer of the data to large modules for outdoor applications.
