Calculated optical properties of a solar energy material: CuGaS2
The full-potential linear muffin-tin orbital method is used to study the electronic structure of the solar energy material CuGaS2. From this the optical reflectivity is calculated and compared with experiment, both for the case when the polarization vector of the light, E is parallel to the c-axis and when E is perpendicular to the c -axis. An encouraging agreement with experiment is obtained.
