Effect of ion-implanted Eu+3 on the conversion efficiency of amorphous silicon solar cell
Fluorescent materials can be used to enhance the relative efficiency of solar cells. But if by some way we can provoke in the anti-reflection coating of the cell emission of light around the peak of its spectral response, its relative efficiency can highly be improved. In my experiment, I used two amorphous silicon solar cells with glass (SiO2) as anti-reflection coating. The emitting material inside the anti-reflection coating is Eu3+, the ions have been introduced into the anti-reflection coating by means of ion-implantation.
