Electrical and Optical-Properties of Cu+-Doped and Exchanged Na-Beta"-Al2O3 and Na-Beta-Al2O3
The electrical conductivity and luminescence of Cu+-doped and ion-exchanged Na-beta"-Al2O3 single crystal films and ceramics and Na-beta-Al2O3 single crystals have been measured. Electrical data of Cu+-beta"- and beta-Al2O3 exhibit fast ion transport features. The emission spectrum of Cu+-doped Na-beta"-Al2O3 single crystal films exhibit an emission peak at 515 nm which is very close to that of bulk crystals. The emission spectra for the beta"- and beta-aluminas have been analysed by fitting to Gaussian components.
