Lithium Intercalation Studies of Lixcf1.13
Thermodynamic behaviour and kinetics of lithium intercalated graphite fluoride CF1.13 were investigated using electrochemical cell. The discharge curve exhibits a monotonous decrease from 3.2 to 0.5 V as the lithium concentration increases in LixCF1.13. A quasi linear fit of the EMF is given. The chemical diffusion coefficient of Li as a function of x in LixCF1.13 is reported in the range 0 < x < 1.2. An average value D = 2 x 10(-9) cm2 s-1 is obtained. The compositional dependence of the partial conductivity is calculated from kinetic parameters.
