Preparation of Silver Ion Conducting Glasses Containing 2 Kinds of Oxoanions and Enhancement of Conductivity of the Glasses
Silver ion conducting glasses were obtained in the systems AgI-Ag2MoO4-Ag3PO4 and AgI-Ag2MoO4-AgPO3. In the system AgI-Ag2MoO4-AgPO3 an enhancement of conductivity was observed with mixing two kinds of oxosalts, Ag2MoO4 and AgPO3, and the framework structure of oxoanions was changed by mixing two kinds of oxosalts Ag2MoO4 and AgPO3. On the other hand, in the AgI-Ag2MoO4-Ag3PO4 glasses the conductivity enhancement was not observed and the framework structure of oxoanions, MoO42- and PO43-, did not change with mixing two kinds of oxosalts Ag2MoO4 and Ag3PO4. These results suggest that the conductivity enhancement with mixing two kinds of oxosalts was related to the structural change of oxoanions forming framework structure of the glasses.
