Vacuum-Ultraviolet Reflectance in Beta-Aluminas
The vacuum-ultraviolet reflectance in beta-alumina crystals was measured by using a beam line with synchrotron radiation. A few differences between the spectra in the electronic band-edge region, below 7 eV, for alkali beta-aluminas and others (Ag or Tl beta-aluminas) are observed. This difference is related to the structure of the conduction plane.
