A Study of Ion-Transport in Zirconia Through Computer Modeling
A computer model based on the Poisson equation is presented and solved numerically to study transient or steady-state transport phenomena in oxygen-zirconia systems. The model has been solved for Potentiometric operation, but can easily be extended to amperometric operation as well. It is applicable both to solid ionic conductors and mixed conductors.
