The protonic conductivity of layered HNbWO6 . 1.5H(2)O has been studied by impedance spectroscopy technique. The values of ionic conductivity (sigma= 4 X 10(-6) S/cm) and diffusion coefficient (D = 4.3 X 10(-11)cm(2)/s) obtained at room temperature are consistent with the corresponding values estimated by an NMR study.
