On the Stationary Electrical-Conductivity of Sintered Fluorite-Type Y2O3-Stabilized ZrO2
The stationary electrical conductivity of sintered fluorite-type Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2 was investigated in the temperature range of 1100-1200 degrees C using a sample containing 10 mol% Y2O3. The temperature dependence of the stationary conductivity can be expressed by the following equation : sigma T = A exp[-(alpha + beta T-1)/(kT)]. The activation energy for conduction is given by alpha + 2 beta T-1. Therefore, the above equation can be rewritten into the following form : sigma T = {A exp[beta/(kT(2))]}) exp[-(alpha + 2 beta T-1)/(kT)].
