An Evaluation of Lithium Intercalation Capacity into Carbon by XRD Parameters

Intercalation of lithium into five different carbon materials has been investigated. A relation between intercalation capacity and crystallite size has been discussed in consideration of the non-equilibrium conditions during a battery charge process.
