Preparation and thermochemical reactivity of strontium iron zirconium oxides SrFe1-xZrxO3-delta
Perovskite-related solid solutions with the formula SrFe1-xZrxO3-delta have been prepared by a conventional solid state reaction. The compositions 0.24 < x < 1 are lacking due to a broad miscibility gap In the quaternary compounds small amounts of SrZrO3 were detected as by-product. Phase analysis by X-ray powder diffractometry, electron microprobe investigations and Fe-57-Mossbauer spectroscopy as well as thermogravimetry have been used to investigate the influence of the Fe:Zr ratio on structure and thermochemical reactivity in hydrogen atmosphere of the studied solid solutions.
