Electrochemical permeability of Sr-0.7(Ti,Fe)O3-delta materials
Chemically stable Sr-0.97(Ti, Fe)O3-delta materials were prepared by a conventional solid state reaction procedure. Their transport properties were evaluated by electrochemical permeability experiments. Our results confirm that Fe additions yield SrTiO3 based materials with relatively good electronic and oxygen ion conductivities. However, the permeability experiments could not be fitted by a model behaviour derived on assuming that the ionic conductivity is independent of Po-2, and a simple power law for the p-type contribution, sigma(p) = sigma(p1)(Po-2)(1/4).
