Estimation and Revision of Some Thermodynamic Data in the YBaCuO System .2. Standard Entropies of Formation
From a review of the literature data, we have estimated the basic standard entropies of formation from the elements S298formalBAR of YBa2Cu3O7 (123-O7), YBa2Cu3O6 (123-O6), YBa2Cu4O8 (124-O8), YBa2Cu3.5O7.5 (123.5-07.5), YCuO2 (101) and Y2Cu2O5 (202). It is shown that for the S298formal(i) estimation, it is better to use the method of increments of the ions constituting the compound, rather than the method of addition of standard entropies of the simple oxides forming the compound. In addition, S298formal values were calculated for YBa2Cu5O9 (125-O9), YBa4Cu3O8.5 (143-O8.5), BaCuO2 (011), BaCu2O2 (012), Ba2CuO3 (021), Ba3CuO4 (031), Y2BaCuO5 (211), Y2BaO4 (210), Y2Ba4O7 (240) and Y2Ba2O5 (220).
