Properties and Thermal-Decomposition in Air Atmosphere of Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with 2,6-Dichlorobenzoic Acid
The conditions for the formation of Co(II), NI(II) and Cu(II) 2,6-dichlorobenzoates were studied and their quantitative compositions and solubilities in water at 293 K were determined. The IR spectra of the prepared complexes were recorded and their thermal decompositions in air were investigated. During heating, the hydrated complexes M(C7H3O2Cl2) nH(2)O lose the molecules of water of crystallization in two steps, before decomposing to the oxides (Co, Ni) or gaseous products (Cu).
