The enthalpies of vaporization and solvation of more than twenty acyclic and cyclic halides of three-coordinated organophosphorous compounds have been determined according to their enthalpies of solution in hexane and carbon tetrachloride. The Cl2P- and ClP < group contributions to the vaporization enthalpy for P(III) compounds of similar type have been calculated using experimental data.
