The thermal stability of peroxyacetals R(1)H(OR(2))OOR(3) has been analysed by DSC. Rate constants and activation parameters of decomposition, in a 1.5 M solution of triphenylmethane in diphenylmethane, were determined. Comparison of the free activation enthalpies provided identification of a significant influence of R(1) and R(3).
