The system DyBr3-DyI3 has been studied by differential thermal analysis (DTA), and a regular solution behaviour has been observed. For the enthalpies of fusion of DyBr3 and DyI3 the values 46.4 +/- 1.5 and 56.5 +/- 1.5 kJ mol(-1), respectively, have been found.
