Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of Cu2+ arachidate were prepared with two types of LB trough, i.e. a conventional ordinary trough and a moving-wall type trough. Electron spin resonance spectra and scanning probe microscope images of these LB films showed that the transfer of these monolayers onto a solid substrate was successfully attained with a moving-wall type trough, while it was difficult with a conventional trough.
