Activation-Energy of Hopping Conductivity in Low-Doped and Low-Compensated Semiconductor-Films
The influence of quantum size effects and the role of the environment on impurity band formation in thin semiconductor films is studied under low-doping, low-compensation conditions. An explicit expression for activation energy (Fermi level) is obtained and the form of the impurity band is studied.
