Magnetoresistance and Magnetic-Properties of Ferromagnetic Multilayers
We have studied the magnetization structure and the magnetoresistance in the simplest bilayer structure composed of soft Ni80Fe20(t(s))/hard Fe(t(h)), in which direct exchange-coupling takes place. Here their thicknesses t(s) and t(h) are below the critical thickness t(c). The coercive force and the magnetoresistance in the bilayer Nm depend on the thickness ratio t(s)/(t(s)+t(h)). The results are explained in terms of the continuous rotation of the spins in the layers.
