Electroluminescent Cell Prepared by Chemical-Deposition of ZnS-Mn Thin-Film
The method of chemical deposition of thin films from two different solutions has been applied for the preparation of a luminescent layer of ZnS doped by Mn in order to fabricate an electroluminescent MISIM cell. The emission spectrum has been examined at room temperature, and three maxima have been found at 330, 350 and 370 nm. The emitted light intensity at 2 kHz depended linearly on the current in the range from 0 to 1 mA. The dependence of light intensity on the frequency has been examined in the frequency range 1.2-3.4 kHz at a constant current of 0.3 mA. The degradation of the cell has also been examined and it has been found that the emitted light intensity does not decrease during 24 h of working.
