Synthesis and photoluminescence properties of blue light emitting polymers
Styrene type monomer having triphenyl ethylene (TPE) unit on the side chain was synthesized and co-polymerized with styrene monomer in order to apply to the organic light emitting diodes and their structures were identified by FTIR spectrophotometer and mass spectro-photometer. The solid co-polymer film exhibited high fluorescence at 450 nm, and the photoluminescence (PL) showed a red-shift than TPE and a reel-shift and a blue-shift in PL of TPE-dispersed polystyrene (PS) and TPE-dispersed PMMA (polymethylmethacrylale) films, respectively were observed, when compared to that of TPE.
