3-Alkyl(Aryl)-4-tetrachlorophthalimido-4,5dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones (2) and 3-alkyl(aryl)-4-(1,8-naphthalimido)-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones (3) were synthesized from the reactions of 3-alkyl(aryl)-4-amino-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones (1) with tetrachlorophthalic anhydride and 1,8-naphthalic anhydride, respectively. In addition, the reactions of 4-amino-4H-1,2,4-triazoles (4) with succinic anhydride and phthalic anhydride were studied.
