We prepared burn ointments which were mainly consisted of natural polysaccharide. This burn ointments were applied on the rat's skin which was wounded by artificial burns. Their effects on the healing properties were investigated by the evaluation of histological and hematological change as a function of time. The results showed that the burn ointments made from natural polysaccharide were effective in formation of the new tissue and reduction of inflammation. It was discovered that the new ointments were more effective in the healing the burnt wounds than the existing ointment substitutes.
