The effects of rare earths on supported amorphous NiB/Al2O3 catalysts
The technique of pulse microreaction was applied to study the effects of rare earths on the catalytic properties of supported amorphous NiB/Al2O3 catalyst for benzene hydrogenation. The characteristics of catalysts are investigated by using ICP, XRD, TPR. TPD, DSC and H-2 chemisorption. Experimental results show that rare earth addition is helpful for the reduction of nickel oxide, makes the nickel particles smaller and increases the surface area of active nickel.
